Surprise Present

Yes, that's it. My surprise present from Shabby . Didn't expect to get it, and thought I have to work so hard on my album then might get a chance to win it! I'm really wordless when I saw it just simply laughing in sort of silly way... Love you, Shabby -- the ladies behind it!

At the same time, I have to say, I did complete the challenge album. I love the way it turns out and sure to share with you after 23rd.

Photo Swap -- my part

Few weeks back, this girl arranged a photo swap for us, and I am up to scrap Meilan's photo. It took me sometime to get ready the photo and start the layout. Love MME's new paper, especially this Friend's range, thought should look good for any LO. I altered a small notice board, covered with the pattern paper ( MME ), used the velvet ribbon ( Hokko ) to cover the sides. The crochet flowers are from MME too, brads took from my cupcakes' kit. Also used on LO are rubon ( AM ), ghost letter, clock, chipboard letter ( Heidi Swapp ), chipboard ( Queen & Co. ; Autumn Leave ), Sticker ( Grannny's kitchen ) and the bird stamp ( Autumn Leave ).

Can't wait to see the rest of the LO from the others...

I'm tagged by Jazz and here's the 7 facts:

(1)I think I need to do regular exercise desperately...not really due to the growing size of my hips( I still can't fit in my favourite jeans )but of the low energy level I am having daily --- I need to hit the pillow sometimes before 9pm!--- and that means I don't have enough time to scrap!!!

(2)I need to confess that I am not a good mother some time, in order to get more time to scrap, I cook easy/fast food to feed my princess and didn't spend quality time with them like just let them playing by themselves.

(3)I enjoy retail therapy when I am in a bad mood and bring home quite numbers of rubbish!

(4)My office is called" pressure release center" as I store lots of food here and eat and eat and eat when I have pressure at work.I also invite other colleagues to join if they have same problem.

(5)I miss my mum and dad. Sometimes I wish I have never left them. Constantly dream how the things would be different but also know there's no way to turn back but still keep dreaming.

(6) I need another holiday despite just completed 10 days'. Have no intention to come back to work and face so much much deadlines.
(7) I need to spend at least 1 hour search my scrap websites everyday .
I will tag:
ta ta for now.

Just 2 things

(1) The RAK : ...... goes to all 4 who left comment on that entry, I think it's time to share my love of scrapping goodies. Ladies, i will text you soon.
(2) Scrapping? I was away for 3 days but really wanted to scrap, took loads of pics and developed some yesterday. Today I actually sat in front of my scrap table ( hardly left it except for making lunch for the girls and on off little stuffs ) and I finished the calender for my dad. October, consider one of my worst month in the year, especially tomorrow... while i was thinking about mum for the past few weeks, I found the blank calender in Shabby during the last last trip.

I used all the "noteworthy" paper from MM, it's so so beautiful. Along with that, used same range of button and flowers too. More photo will be updated in my 2 peas gallery.

Well, tomorrow the school starts again, and work till first week in December, there won't be any holiday ( weep, weep ) but then I will fly off to see my dad...

This week so far...

Two days ago, while my little girl was playing computer, she climbed on the table and fell down later by totally forgot she's actually on the table not the chair! The result of that: 2 stitches on the chin, not too bad. She's able to ride her bike the next early morning and happy to found a big snail in the garden.

3 days off last weekend but ended up nothing ( no scrapping ) for me at all! Yesterday afternoon, knowing hubby was on the way home after 3days' away, I was kind of in the joy and completed this:

" I always catch two of you together in singing, dancing, drawing, acting, playing silly, screaming, shouting, fighting, even in this QUIET moment." used jenni bowlin's sticker label for journaling.

Mooncake Festival

My Kids love Mooncake Festival, I used to make snow skin mooncakes for them but this year the paste went out really fast, so we ended up with traditional ones from supermarket. Lighted up the lattern for them on the night, see they're happy to have a late night.

School celebrated the next day, all the kids in kindy dressed up, I felt that CNY was coming!!!

By the way,all my goodies arrived yesterday, I picked up 2 big boxes from the post office! Enough for me to work on this weekend ( we have 3 days off ).

Now, let me share with you a few layouts from Rafeeqa's first A-Z album.

F for friends: Naomi and me are best friends.

J for just smile: Yes,Baby, got a problem? Just smile.

N for natural beauty: What a natural beauty you are!

I had a good yet crazy time making the album, all 40 layouts were completed within 2 weeks.

First project kit from JBS

I just love Jenni Bowlin Studio. The paper, the colour ,the embelishment, the antique box just everything make me happy. Especially the silver bird this time, when i opened the parcel with Rafeeqa, she asked me" Mummy, can we keep the bird and the egg? When the egg will hatch?" I know the girls would take out the bird so i had to hide it until i started the work.

The bingo card's size is just nice to fit the photo in the middle: I love Renee's sort of into deep thinking, Rafeeqa is growing away too fast, me and Heng's been silly in my 2nd mother's day and of course, all of us in last year's school celebration night. Post two pics first, the rest will go to the 2 peas later this weekend.

The final look is wonderful too.

This month's JBS project's already on its way, I can't wait to play with it. Got a post office collection card in my hand, is it from here, or here, or maybe here? I will let you know tomorrow.

Swing

This is a last minute work before the deadline in Shabby. I thought green is not my usual color, but really love BG's sweepie, and after went thru my paper pile, decided on this, and with the beautiful frame got from here; swirl chipboard from Maya Road, distressed ink, also tried one more thing: printed journals.

" Look at a happy you, I know I'm truely blessed."

I'm glad I won the challenge and wish more to come.

What I am up to ...

A 12*12 LO for Renee was completed last weekend. In Shabby, everyone said the pattern paper is bright so I used gold, red and green for the LO.

materials: Pattern paper / 7 gypsies ( kit from SOMO );Chipboard / basic grey;Lil Davis; Die cut letters / sizzix; other embelishment / MME;AM;7 gypsies;Heidi Swapp

This is a 8*8 LO finished this Friday. The picture was taken about 5 years ago, look how funny I was with that hair. What I love most about that pic is H's eyes.

mateials:Pattern paper / MM; Love Elsie; Sizzix die cut letters ; Chipboard title: 7 gypsies; key from MM

The flower was learned that morning, using a ink pad and the LO had a stitched final touch.

Renee's scrapping party

I should post these long ago. Had this party for Renee with 3 of her friends, they made a small according album each. Not big fancy work but something special made all by themselves.

one of Uma's LO: "dancing time"

The girls are busy designing their LOs.

You won't relize how creative and capable the little ones are until you let them lay hands on!!! I think I should try this more often.

Best time of the year

It's July, the best time of the year for me! I thought to pamper myself as I grow older ( as I always do actually ), I went to Shabby to claim all my points and bought myself the mimi tote.
And of course didn't forget to get myself something for my dear hubby ( he gives me the freedom to choose my present all the time, good isn't it? ) , here's the earring and the matching ring will be ready in weeks, I sure show you by then:

We had lunch at home with kids and dinner at yacht club with friends. The best part: We arrived at the club and it was absolutely dark, we learned the power was cut due to the heavy rain the previous night. I was thrilled that we would have a candle light dinner with so many people together! We ordered food in the dark, waited in the dark, chatted in the dark and even had starters in the dark... As I was about to finish my meal, the light went back on, we finally took a few proper photo ( sorry no food photo though, we finished all ). It was fun, by the way, did I tell you that I was sick? I was sick since last weekend but I managed to sit for my dinner. I lied on bed the next day.

Fly off to KL tomorrow ( another treat from July ), I will go to scrappingville for all of you,ok...LOL

Happy birthday to Renee

Well, actually it's still 2 weeks away.

But we had it early anyway as everyone usually out during summer holidays. She will be 7 !!! The memory of holding tiny her in my arms is still around, time really flies, she is a big girl now. Though hugs and kisses are often, she now spends more time by herself writing, drawing and playing. I do miss the time she sat on my laps.

We got many lovely shots for the pool party, and I just completed one LO ( I know, bad,bad... ) ,here is the Birthday wish

material used: Bazzil scallop card stock;KI memories chipboard letter/Queen & Co chipboard letter;MME pattern paper;Creatif Papier paper flower;Making memories paint
